2/77: Spend of your substance out of love for him

“It is righteousness to believe in Allah and the Last Day and the Angels and the Book and the Messengers; to spend of your substance out of love for Him for your kin for orphans for the needy for the wayfarer for those who ask and for the ransom of slaves”. Surah 2 Ayah 177

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “If anyone strokes an orphan’s head…he will have blessings for every hair over which his hand passes. And if anyone treats well an orphan girl or boy under his care, he and I will be together in Paradise like this (and the Prophet held two Fingers close together)”. Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1282

7/20: And perform assalat, and give zakat, and lend to Allah a goodly loan

“And perform As-Salat and give Zakat, and lend to Allah a goodly loan. And whatever good you send before you for yourselves, you will certainly find it with Allah, better and greater in reward. And seek Forgiveness of Allah. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”. Surah Al-Muzzammil, verse: 20.

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “If anyone strokes an orphan’s head, doing so only for Allah’s sake, he will have blessings for every hair over which his hand passes; and if anyone treats well an orphan girl or boy under his care, he and I shall be like these two in Paradise,” putting two of his fingers together. Narrated by AbuUmamah

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: ‘In Paradise, there will be a house known as the house of happiness. No one will enter it except those who make orphans happy’.

2/220: Concerning orphans

“And they ask you concerning orphans. Say: “The best thing is to work honestly in their property, and if you mix your affairs with theirs then they are your brothers.” Surah (2) Al-Bakarah Ayah 220.

4/127: There’s not a good deed which ye do that Allah is not well-acquainted therewith

“…Also concerning the children who are weak and oppressed: that ye stand firm for justice to orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do but Allah is well-acquainted therewith.” Surah 4 Ayah 127

4/10: Those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans eat up a fire into their own bodies

“Those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans eat up a fire into their own bodies: they will soon be enduring a blazing fire!” Surah 4 Ayah 10

93/09: No oppression against orphans

“Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression”. Surah Ad-Duha (93), verse: 9.

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: When a man complained to the Prophet (peace be upon him) of having a hard heart, he said, “Stroke orphans’ heads and feed the poor.” Narrated by AbuHurayrah
